The Omega 1/1 Sea Master Ploprof, a spectacular and elegant dive watch, is newly unveiled by Omega. This watch is completely made in 18 karat gold. It is a replica of the stainless steel watch made in the 1970s.
The Omega Seamaster has a rubber strap with grooves in white color. The Omega signature can be found on the white grooves. The bezel is overlaid with white sapphire and bears the commemorative mark of 1/1only watch. To enhance the readability of time in any light conditions the indicating hands of the hour is made of rose gold and is coated with super luminova.
The master piece incorporates Omega 8501 caliber manufactured in-house. The time tested co-axial escapement movement is adopted in the watch. The free spring balance wheel has the capacity to beat at 25,200 vibrations per hour. A 60 hours power reserve is an added feature of this stunning beauty. The Omega 1/1 Seamaster Ploprof is provided with an 8500 caliber decorative pattern and is certified by the COSC. The watch has under gone different tests under varying temperatures and positions by the manufacturers before being declared as a chronometer.
The date and time can be adjusted by pulling a screw accommodated in the 9 o clock position under a protective buffer in the crown. The positioning of the crown does not prevent the free movement of the wrist and is well protected against any accident. The time can be adjusted to different time zones by a special provision of co-axial escapement. It has a distinguishing feature in its oversized case and a push button placed securely in the rotating bezel. The surface is texture finished with proper brushing. The apt marking 1/1 denotes that after the auction in September 2009 this watch will not be available. The watch is water- resistant until 1200 meters. The dimensions of the watch though look big with a width of 55 mm and thickness of 17.5 mm the sea faring qualities are appreciable. The only 1/1 watch will be auctioned in Monaco in September.
